An exiting opportunity has arisen for a candidate with exceptional planning & organisational skills to join a well respected manufacturing company just outside of Newquay.
Reporting to the Materials & Planning Manager, applicants will have direct ownership for ordering and expediting raw material stock purchases and arranging collections from suppliers on a just in time basis.
Other duties will include: working with the Production Planner to effectively manage the production plan; working closely with Warehousing department to optimize procurement and storage parameters; releasing production orders to achieve Shop Floor Schedule Adherence; closing orders ensuring scrap quantities are booked; generating reports on stock availability; providing information to other departments and creating purchase orders for returns to suppliers.
Applicants must have a sound working of MRP, Excel, SAP, Word and Outlook and will ideally have previous experience of working in a scheduling role.
